Center Parcs Luxury Spa Suite Review

My friend Claire and I are just back from a wonderful weekend in Center Parcs superb new luxury spa suites at Elveden. Center Parcs you have outdone yourselves they are pure and simple bliss! We haven’t stopped raving about them since we got home and have a huge smile on our faces when we think about them. We thought we’d put together a little review so people can get a feel for how beautiful they really are.

From the moment we arrived in the spa welcome suite we felt excited, special but immediately relaxed. Your spa concierge service is wonderful with all our needs taken care of prior to arrival. We had arrived early before check in time so the spa concierge stored our baggage securely so we could get on and enjoy an early start in the Aqua Sana. All our bookings like spa treatments, restaurants and special requests were pre-organised by the spa concierge, every little detail was so well thought out even entry to the spa suites is based on keyless wristbands so no keys to remember which was probably best after a few glasses of champagne! For the Aqua Sana we were provided with lockers pre-stocked with robes, slippers and towels so again no need to even remember to take a pound for the locker.

The refurbished Aqua Sana looked great with lots of lovely new loungers which we made extensive use of together with some of the spa experience rooms before taking the included lunch in Zilli’s. We found that an early lunch followed almost immediately by the included full body spa treatment and facial worked well and allowed us to get back to our spa suite to make the most of the facilities.

We headed to the suites to meet up with your lovely spa concierge for a tour of the facilities. We found the suites stunning - like the ultimate hotel room with impeccable décor and discreetly placed mod cons throughout. We were really surprised that the suites were so much more that we expected. For anyone thinking of booking they include flatscreen TV’s in the lounge, bedroom and bathroom (we liked the novelty of the bathroom TV remote control being waterproof and floats in the bath!) Blu ray media systems (blu ray movies provided) with iPod docks in the lounge and bedroom provided all we needed to enhance our mood and relax further.

The beautiful round bath tub is separate to the bathroom and accessed from the side of the bedroom via frosted glass sliding doors. It has folding glass doors to open up the space into the balcony area with discreet but breezy net curtains that can be left closed to provide privacy but we weren’t really overlooked anyway. We had so much fun in that bath and gossiped for over 3 hours whilst sipping champagne and were amazed that the water stayed hot!

On a practical side we found the kitchen area stocked with the essentials such as a fridge, Senseo coffee maker and kettle together with a full range of dinnerware and cutlery - even tea towels were provided. The lounge was luxury all the way having the most lovely unique fireplace (which is duplicated in the bedroom. The separate bathroom area has dual sinks and a rain forest type walk in shower and had ample space for us both to get ready at once, adjacent to the bathroom is a dressing area with good wardrobe space and generous sized safe. All in all it is pure, indulgent, selfish, luxurious relaxation!

After heading to the centre (bikes provided) that evening for a lovely dinner in Rajindas (£20 CP voucher for each guest provided) we headed back to enjoy our favourite fun spa suite feature. On the balcony overlooking the golf course is a beautiful round day bed complete with cushions and hood – we loved lounging on it, chatting, enjoying our quiet time and even falling asleep.

On check out day we got to enjoy a lovely breakfast in Lakeview restaurant but as we’d come to expect we could have chosen to have had it delivered to the suite. We then spent the whole day in the spa taking treatments we had booked separately just relaxing and letting the spa experience flood our senses.

By the end of the day we were so chilled we felt like we’d been at Elveden for a week, we strolled to the centre to enjoy a final meal on site before heading home extremely happy and relaxed - ready to face another chaotic week at home!

We loved them and have already booked to come again next year!

  1. Thank you Jo and Claire for posting up such a comprehensive review. I had been umming and ahhing over whether to book a spa suite break and your detailed and enthusiastic review was enough to push me, and more importantly my hubby, over the edge.
I am looking forward to giving them a whirl in January.

  5. My husband and I have just come back too. We had the most fantastic time. It was for our 10th wedding anniversary. The Spa Concierge were amazing from before during and after our time. They even helped me to arrange special flowers to be ready for when we went into our suite. ( thanks Claire and Tracey) Everything is thoroughly thought out, from the decor to the layout. We felt like a couple again, not just Mummy and Daddy ;)
We will be recommending the break to everyone we know. And will be back. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

  6. WOW, my friend and i are just back after celebrating our 40Th birthdays at the spa suites, the first review covers it well, we decided to have our evening meal in foresters (which is a 2 min walk away from suites) and that was fab, and breakfast we had delivered to our suite was fantastic, you are reading this reviews because you are considering a spa break, well you will not be disappointed nothing is overlooked or too much trouble, BOOK NOW we will be returning x

  8. Just back from our second visit and it was as lovely as the first time. The suites have had little touches applied to make the stay better; water, juice, ice and herbal teas are now supplied together with a wider range of toiletries in the shower area like Elemis shampoo, shower gel and conditioner etc. The little things like cotton buds, tissues etc make all the difference to your packing regime...we really didn't need to take anything except clothes. Lovely, lovely relaxing break :o)

  11. I took my daughter there as a special treat on the day she finished her last GCSE exam in the Summer of 2012... it was such an indulgent luxury.. better than a stay at an exclusive london hotel! As the spa experience along with the pure luxury of the spa suite and the delights of centre parcs itself, is something that no luxury hotel can offer... I can thoroughly recommend this experience - you will definately NOT be disappointed... myself and my daughter remember this experience as very special in our hearts as a great memory.... one that we have promised to share again :-)

  13. My husband and I stayed last month in the luxury spa suites and boy were they luxury! Everything we needed was there and spotlessly clean. Every little detail is thought of. It was fabulous being "us" and not being just mummy and daddy! We are hopefully returning soon for our wedding anniversary! Pity it couldn't be for longer than 1 night!

  15. I'm a little disappointed as we have been twice now and twice something has spoiled the experience for us.
The first time we went the spa area was undergoing refurbishment. We could still use it but it certainly wasn't a luxurious space to be in….just grey paving and wicker beds to lounge on…no finishing touches to make it a luxury experience so apart from our treatment and 20 minutes in the pool we didn’t spend any time in this area. We were each given £5 gift vouchers to spend as compensation but felt this was not really compensation enough considering we had booked a "luxury spa break"
However the spa suite was luxurious and we had no complaints there and it far exceeded our expectations and we loved it! So with this in mind we thought we would book again and experience the full package as it should have been first time round and yes the spa area is 100% better and it was a lovely place to be. What let it down this time was that the suite was not the same as it was the first time round. We found out later that it was a trial suite for one that they were considering building at another parc however, following feedback from guests they were planning on changing it back to the original style. This didn’t help us of course as we had already experienced the original suite which we loved and again we feel we haven’t experienced the luxury spa break to it’s fullest and a little annoyed to know that we paid full price for a suite that they knew was not as popular with guests as other suites who would have paid the same as we did.
